A few members have enjoyed the cross trainers, treadmills and rowing machines in the gym too. We will be closed on October 23rd ( first weekend of Half Term) but will re-open on October 30th for swimming and the giant pool INFLATABLE!!!(swimmers only). We look forward to seeing you here soon!! Here is a small sample of the activities from the last sports session: |
September 2016 Welcome Back!!!
We hope you had an enjoyable summer break and it has been lovely seeing everyone back at our first two sessions this year! We started back with swimming only, on 11th Sept and had a very lively sports/swim session on the 18th... with 21 families joining us for trampolining, ball skills, table tennis and Zumba before heading into the pool. On the 18th, we also wished Bridget, our swimming coach a very loud and tuneful " Happy Birthday" . She has been with us for many years now, and has seen so many of our members progressing through the 1:1 lessons. We are very lucky to have her and we are very grateful that she continues to support our swimming programme. Finally, over the past year many people have helped at DISC in many ways, and Councillor Roger Clarke has been instrumental in raising over £4,000 for DISC, as one of his nominated community group/charities. We invited him to come along and visit a session to meet people and see a sports session in action. (And partake of a coffee from the tea urn that he kindly donated...) Hopefully he will come back again soon! |
